“The Vigil is proof that bible-thumping priests and haunted convents can’t have all the spooky fun.” – Indie Wire
Young New Yorker Yakov has recently left Brooklyn’s Hassidic world and is slowly adapting to his new, secular life. Struggling to make a living, however, he reluctantly agrees to take on a one-off, lucrative gig: watching over the body of a deceased member of his former community. Expecting a quiet night, Yakov soon finds himself fighting an ancient and malicious demon which threatens to take over his mind and spirit. In the tradition of the Golem, The Vigil tells a gloriously scary – and very Jewish – tale.
