The life of Kareem, a young Israeli-Arab from Lod, is steeped in tension and violence. His best friends deal drugs, the Israeli authorities demolish the house of one of his friends so that they can build a museum of co-existence in its stead, and his family is forever changed after a fatal road accident. But with his girlfriend Manar on his side, and a promising hip hop career, Kareem will not let any of that break him. Winner of the Best International Feature Award at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, Junction 48 is an engaging cinematic experience with an acute and uncompromising political view.
