Back in the 1960s and 1970s, long before Scarface and the drug cartels, Miami Beach was the glitziest shtetl in the world, attracting Jews from all over the US who admired its art deco architecture, sun and expansive ocean view. With the help of a treasure trove of pictures taken by the late photographer Andy Sweet, The Last Resort tells two interwoven stories – of the iconic city, and of the life and untimely death of the local photographer who captured it and its people so beautifully.
