“Impeccable production design and haunting music contribute to the ominous mood.” – The Hollywood Reporter

Both gripping crime thriller and biting political commentary, Ondrícek’s impressive debut, is inspired by Psycho, Blade Runner and Seven.

It’s Prague, 1953. Police captain Jarda Hakl (Ivan Trojan), investigating a seemingly routine jewellery-store robbery, uncovers an orchestrated effort by state security agents to detain and eliminate Jewish citizens. Sensing the charges are bogus, Hakl embarks on a one-man war against a ruthless regime bolstered by the arrival of former Nazi office Zenke, who’s been brought in to help with the case.
