Born in Pittsburgh and Seoul-raised, Grace Han graduated with a degree in art history and political science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She first got involved in film through Campus Movie Fest – the world’s largest student film festival. On the side, she squeezed in a co-directed animated short featured in the Cannes CMF block; was selected as one of six for Cineuropa’s GoCritic! workshop at Animafest Zagreb; and won the Society for Animation Studies’ Maureen Furniss Award for Best Student Paper on Animated Media.
Now, she is a MA candidate in the History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, and freelances film and festival coverage for Cineuropa and Asian Movie Pulse. When she’s not watching movies, she’s going to exhibitions (and vice versa)!
