Jamie Bell shines in Israeli filmmaker Guy Nattiv’s first English language feature (Nattiv’s short film of the same name won the Oscar for Best Live Action Short this year). Bell is Bryon Widner, a young man raised by skinheads, who embarks on a near-impossible process of moving away from the community that shaped him. With the help of a black activist, Widner cleanses both body and soul – removing the numerous tattoos from his body and face, and replacing hatred and white supremacist beliefs with love and acceptance. Based on a true story, Skin is an extremely powerful tale of shocking brutality but also hope.

Warning: film contains violent scenes.
