“Meticulously researched. ” – Variety

Narrated by Academy Award winner Sir Ben Kingsley CBE and starring Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz as the voice of Theodor Herzl, the film is a heady immersion into the life and vision of Theodor Herzl.

Born in 1860 as an assimilated Jew in Budapest, it was as a journalist covering the Dreyfus trial in Paris, that Herzl discovered his mission in life: to create a Jewish homeland in Palestine against all odds.

The film charts Herzl’s remarkable campaign for a state of Israel – in which he courted millionaires and heads of state, convened the first Zionist Congress, and possibly worked himself into an early grave – using an impressive array of historical documents and photos.
