Hoping to finally introduce his new girlfriend to his father, Ariel, an economist living in New York, is going back to his native Buenos Aires. But things don’t work out quite as planned: Ariel’s girlfriend is delayed in New York while his father, Usher, is nowhere to be seen. Instead, Ariel finds himself immersed in the busy life of the Jewish community in the city and slowly falls for Eva, a taciturn Orthodox woman. Though he has built a new life for himself in the US, Ariel cannot resist the familiar comfort of home.
