Gary is still (sadly) best known in the UK for the multi-award winning Leon the Pig Farmer. Since then he has directed comedies in the UK and in Hollywood many of which he has written, working with such talents as Peter Ustinov, Prunella Scales, Brooke Shields and Renne Zellwegger. His first – and only – play Notmoses opened in the West End in 2015. He wrote and directed The Unseen, a psychological thriller in 2017. The Jewish Enquirer is his return to contemporary Jewish comedy.
