Daphna Baram worked as a human rights lawyer at Leah Tzemel’s (Advocate) law firm in the 1990s. She later was a journalist and Deputy Editor in Chief for the Jerusalem based weekly Kol Ha’ir of Ha’aretz Group. She was a Senior Associate Member at St. Antony’s College, Oxford – an affiliation during which she wrote her critically acclaimed book Disenchantment: The Guardian and Israel (2004). She contributed commentary to The Guardian, The Independent. The New Statesman, BBC and AlJazeera, among others. She is currently a literary translator, a stand-up comedian, and the Director of The Israeli Committee Against House Demolition – UK.
