Schools and Local Community Online Film Screening

In partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, UK Jewish Film is delivering Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) events for schools and the local community online this year.

As part of UK Jewish Film’s commitment to combat antisemitism through film, we are offering a programme of online screening events that we hope will engage young people, teachers and families to mark this significant day of remembrance in a unique and meaningful way during the strange times we’re living through. This year’s theme ‘Be the light in the darkness’ feels particularly resonant during the pandemic.

INTERFAITH EVENT: From Sunday 31st January available to view from 3pm

As we are unable to join together this year at the East London Central Synagogue in Nelson Street for our interfaith event, UK Jewish Film has produced a short film to commemorate the day. With contributions from members of the local community, the film is an opportunity for personal reflection.

The film will be screened on the London Borough of Tower Hamlets YouTube channel.
