Eddie Vitch, a Polish Jew, made a name for himself as a brilliant mime and cartoonist in Hollywood before moving to Paris, where he became a star. When the Nazis occupied the city in 1940, Vitch continued to make Germany’s elite, including Goebbels and Goering, laugh, surviving the war by boldly performing on Paris’s and Berlin’s most prestigious stages. Decades later, his daughters and relatives unravel the mystery of Vitch’s life, and investigate the reason behind his amazing survival.
