In 1992 a group of Israelis and Palestinians clandestinely met in Norway in an attempt to achieve the impossible: a peace agreement between the PLO and Israel. Based on the diaries of the main protagonists, The Oslo Diaries chronicles the process, from a cautious sense of optimism to the initiative’s ultimate demise, symbolised by the assassination of Prime Minister Rabin. The film premiered at Sundance this year and features Shimon Peres’s last interview.

Warning: Film contains some distressing footage.

“Friendship among former enemies is a spectacle that inspires even as it leaves us saddened by the intractable political realities.” The Hollywood Reporter
