Jerusalem has inspired numerous novels, songs and films, as well as giving us one quite peculiar syndrome. Its history, both ancient and recent, and diverse groups of people have been an endless source of fascinating stories, as this exciting programme of shorts demonstrates, exploring both Jerusalem locals and landmarks. Supported by Onward Israel, The Jerusalem Film Workshop is a unique initiative, which offers a small group of international emerging filmmakers the chance of creating a collection of short films over six weeks. The films are then screened at the prestigious Jerusalem International Film Festival. UK Jewish Film is proud to be a partner for the 2017 edition of the programme. Two young filmmakers – Hannah Skolnick and David Urban – were chosen to represent UK Jewish Film, and collaborated with 12 other fellow international participants on the five documentaries included in this special event.
Screening will be followed by a Q&A with Hannah Skolnick and David Urban.
